About Lewes Film Club

Lewes Film Club is run by volunteer film enthusiasts and is a non-profit making venture. Our aim is to bring an interesting and varied range of arthouse, classic and foreign films not normally shown at commercial cinemas to the residents of Lewes and the surrounding area at very low prices!

The club was formed back in 1986 by a group of volunteers who wanted to show some films in the All Saints Centre Arts Centre in Lewes where there is no cinema. We began by showing films in 16mm and the club converted to 35mm in 1992. In 2007 with the help of a lottery grant from Awards for All we purchased a DVD projector which extends the scope of our programme.

The 2011/12 season of 25 films runs from September to May showing on Friday and Tuesday nights at 8pm. We have special weekends when films are also shown on Sunday afternoon. The venue is the All Saints Centre, Friars Walk.
Guest speakers are always welcome.
